About Me

Dr. Mimi Tang – Founder & CEO of Wing’s Share Company Limited

Mimi has more than 45 years of experience in the fashion retail industry, of which 30 years was in the top executive role of luxury retail.  She established her own consulting company “Wing’s Share” in January 2015 with an aim to providing training and consultancy services to develop retail experts and to reinforce retail excellence.

 

Mimi began her career at Duty-Free Shoppers and joined JOYCE in 1985 as General Manager in charge of Merchandising and Operations in HK and South-east Asia.  She became Executive Vice President at HPL-21 Limited in 1996, building the entire retail infrastructure for Donna Karen, DKNY and Armani Exchange brands in HK and North Asia.

 

Mimi joined KERING in 1998 as Managing Director to develop Gucci brand in HK and China.  She was named Chief Executive Officer in 2006 managing a portfolio of luxury brands such as Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Saint Laurent, etc. across Asia Pacific region.  She became the President of KERING Asia Pacific in 2012 focusing on the corporate functions and strategic development of the Group’s luxury brands.

 

Mimi has engaged herself in charity works since 2008 when she was leading KERING on various Corporate Social Responsibility projects.  Her devotion to support charity activities and her passion to contribute to the Society has never stopped.  During all these years, the beneficiaries include children with amblyopia, education funds, people with disabilities, cancer children, and under-privileged families across HK and China.

 

Mimi has a wealth of experience in providing trainings to corporations and NGOs. She has also been the guest speaker for many Universities and non-profit making organizations where she enjoyed sharing her stories, experiences and beliefs to inspire people.  In June 2016, she was awarded Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters by Savannah College of Art and Design.
